Railway Group D 2018 Exam Pattern

Railway Group D-2011 Examination Pattern is a phase of CBT or Computer Based Examination, after which PET Exam is available in 15 languages (Hindi, English, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu). We look at the detail in both phases of CBT

The first phase of CBT

  • Minimum percentage marks for eligibility in different categories: UR-40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -30%.
  • For each wrong answer, negative marking of 1/3 digits will be done.

Second Stage: PET
Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is necessary for all the candidates if they want to get selected through Railway Group D Recruitment Exam.

Disabled persons referred to in paragraph 11.0 are free from appearing for PET. However, after qualifying in CBT, such candidates will have to pass a prescribed medical examination for disabled persons.

Step III: Document verification and convergence of candidates

Based on the performance of candidates in CBT, candidates will be called in PET for verification of documents based on their merit.

Railway Group B 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The qualification criteria for Railway Recruitment 2018 exam is for the most part around two pre-imperatives: 

  • Hopefuls must hold the level of tenth Pass OR ITI from organizations perceived by NCVT/SCVT or identical OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) conceded by NCVT for the post of Helper/Medical, Hospital Attendant, Assistant Pointsman, Gateman, Porter/Hamal/Sweeper cum watchman 
  • Posting of 10th Pass Plus NAC for other posts given to NCVT or ITI from 10th passed from institutions accredited by NCVT or SCVT
  • A hopeful is required to be: A national of India, A subject of Nepal, A subject of Bhutan, A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before first January 1962 with the aim of settling for all time in India or a man of Indian starting point who relocated to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam and have the goal of settling for all time in India.

Railway Group D 2018 Admit Card

Candidates who successfully apply for the recruitment of Railway Group D in the 2018 examination will be issued letters for the first phase of CBT. Entry cards for CBT and PET will be issued separately. The admission letter for PET will be issued to candidates who have successfully cleared the CBT of Railway Recruitment Group D 2018.

To register the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board, the candidate should have the following:

Railway Group D 2018 Results

After the announcement of the examination, the Railway Recruitment Board will be after the examination for CBT. The first result for CBT will be announced, the candidates who have cleared the CBT will be allowed to take the PET Railway Recruitment Group D-2011 exam. After the physical examination for men and women by the Railway Recruitment Board, results for PET will be issued.
